MooGoo Staff Picks - Winter Warriors We're Worshipping

When you make skincare, you get a lot of questions, and rightfully so. People want to make sure that what they're putting on their skin is healthy and effective (go figure?). You need to make sure that what you buy is right for you, especially if your skin is fussy or sensitive. We also get asked quite often what our favourite products are.

The answer is obvious; we love them all, but when winter rolls around, we do have our go-tos to keep our skin happy and hydrated. We asked a few of the Herd at MooGoo HQ to pick just one and let us know what they're loving and why. After a long period of umming and arring we finally narrowed it down to our absolute MVP’s (most valued products)!

Fave Product:Soothing MSM Moisturiser

Product/Beauty Tip: My only tip is to have this with you at all times! It's your skins’ best friend!

And Why: This is everything I ever wanted in a moisturiser. It’s light enough to feel beautiful on my face and to quickly apply to my hands whenever I feel the need. I also love knowing that the skin-soothing ingredients are helping to reduce any redness or irritation I might be feeling as well, giving me overall super hydrated, happy skin.

Fave Product: How Now Brown Cow Gradual Tanning Cream

Product/Beauty Tip: To make the colour last longer, cleanse with Milk Wash and then exfoliate with towel prior to applying.

And Why: It gives the best natural looking tan all year round with no bad tan smell. It’s so easy to apply and is also a moisturiser so it covers 2 steps in 1.

Fave Product: Shea Sorbet Butter Balm

Product/Beauty Tip: Avoid harsh, drying soaps that strip your skin of oils. Drink lots of water and use a moisturiser immediately after you’ve had a shower to lock in that moisture.

And Why: My skin tends to be dry, especially in winter, but when using the Shea Sorbet my skin stays smooth and soft no matter what the season is. Great to use for a massage and it smells AMAZING.

Fave Product: Oil Cleansing Method

Product/Beauty Tip: Rub in with a silicone cleansing pad to gently massage the face to stimulate blood flow and invigorate the skin. Don't wash it off completely to leave your skin with a nice dose of oils. I use it as a first cleanse at night, my only cleanser in the morning, to take off eye makeup and I even use it as a shower oil for my body. It’s a real over-achiever!

And Why: Keeping skin hydrated is the best thing you can do every day to prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Cleansers can strip the skin of its natural oils leaving it dry and dull. Using an oil cleanser can give skin more moisture and a bit more of that glow we all love. I look and feel my best when my skin is happy and hydrated. Sleep helps too.
