From our gentle cleansers to our targeted serums and nourishing moisturisers, each product is crafted with natural yet effective ingredients to suit your skin type or concern.

Which face cleanser is best for my skin type?

Normal, Dry or Sensitive Skin Type

If you have dry or sensitive skin, you know how hard it is to find a cleanser that removes impurities without causing irritation or exacerbating dryness. Our top-selling Creamy Hydrating Cleanser uses five gentle, naturally derived cleansers to effectively cleanse your skin without stripping its natural oils. We even included Hydrolysed Milk Protein for added skin elasticity benefits!

Combination, Oily, Blemish-prone or Sensitive Skin Type

Combination skin can be tricky, with some areas oily and others dry or normal. Add in blemishes, and you've got a challenge. Traditional blemish-targeting cleansers often contain harsh ingredients like Benzoyl Peroxide, which strips the skin and leads to more oil production, irritation, and breakouts.

Our Gentle Foaming Face Cleanser is specially formulated to balance and care for combination, oily, or blemish-prone skin. It gently cleanses away built-up oils and impurities without damaging your skin, and is gentle enough for sensitive skin too!

Mature Skin Type or for Sunscreen & Makeup Removal / Double Cleansing

Our Oil Cleansing Method uses natural oils to balance oil production and promote clearer skin. With a ‘like attracts like’ technology, the oils draw out impurities from the skin as you massage your face. 

Depending on your skin's response, you can cleanse solely with the Oil Cleanser, removing it by rinsing or with a warm damp face towel. Or you can ‘double cleanse’ and follow with your second water-based cleanser. 

Do you make an exfoliator? How do I use this and how often?

Yes! Exfoliation is crucial in any skincare routine, but we’re not fans of grainy, abrasive exfoliators that can damage the skin. Our Gentle Exfoliating Micro Powder combines the most gentle and natural physical and chemical exfoliating ingredients to delicately dissolve rough skin. The result? Smoother, softer, and brighter-looking skin that can absorb your serum or moisturiser more effectively.

To use, shake some product into wet hands, rub them together to emulsify, and then massage the powder over your face and neck in circular motions. If the paste is too dry or crumbly, add a few extra drops of water. Finish by rinsing with warm water. You can also leave the paste on for 5 minutes to create a face mask!

Start by using our Gentle Exfoliating Micro Powder 2-3 times per week in the evenings. The formula is gentle enough to build up to daily use if needed.

Do your face products contain artificial fragrances or parabens?

Nope, not at all! We use a signature low-potent, hypoallergenic, and phthalate-free fragrant oil in some products for a pleasant smell without reactions. However, we don’t use artificial fragrances.

Each compound in our phthalate-free fragrant oil is below the EU’s allergy thresholds. All MooGoo products are also formulated without Paraffins, Parabens, and Phenoxyethanol.

Fun fact: Phthalates are the ingredients that can cause allergic skin reactions to fragrance.

Can your Oil Cleanser remove heavy makeup or eye makeup?

Yes, of course. Our Oil Cleansing Method is effective at removing all makeup, especially when used as the first cleanse in a double cleansing routine. 

We recommend applying a few pumps to your hand, emulsifying the oil, and then applying it to your face in gentle circular motions. Do this for up to a minute before rinsing with warm water or removing with a damp washcloth. Then, follow up with your second cleanser, either the Creamy Hydrating Cleanser or Gentle Foaming Face Cleanser, to thoroughly cleanse the skin.

 

Are your Face products safe for use during pregnancy or postpartum?

All MooGoo products are designed to be bump and postpartum friendly. A few of our Face products contain active ingredients like BHAs, which in high concentrations should be avoided during pregnancy. However, the small percentages in our formulas are considered safe.

It's always a personal choice, and we recommend you do whatever you feel comfortable with. Always patch test for allergies before use. If you are concerned about any specific ingredients, please consult your healthcare professional before use.

Can your Face Creams be used under makeup?

Yes, most definitely! All our Face Creams are suitable under makeup and make a great base for applying products over the top. We recommend saving the Night Restoration Cream for your nighttime routine as this works best overnight and contains active ingredients. 

Do you have Face products designed to reduce redness and Rosacea?

If you experience redness and Rosacea, we would recommend incorporating our 100% Rosehip Face Oil and Soothing MSM Moisturiser into your skincare routine. While our range is designed for irritated and sensitive skin, we always recommend you do a small patch test first.

 

 

Do skincare products expire?

Skincare products don’t last forever, so please don’t use a moisturiser from three years ago. Once opened, these products have a limited shelf life. Exposure to air and bacteria over time can break them down. If used past the expiration date, the product may not be effective or could cause an adverse reaction.

How long before I see results?

Results can vary by individual and the products you are using. Consistency in your skincare routine plays an important role in the success of your results too. It may take up to three months for your skin to improve but results may be seen sooner depending on your skin type.

Can I use your Face products if I have Eczema?

If you experience symptoms of Eczema on the face, we recommend a super simple 3 step routine. This would be a gentle cleanser and moisturiser followed by SPF. While our range is designed for irritated and sensitive skin, we always recommend you do a small patch test first.
