We’ve skipped the harsh stuff typically found in Anti-Dandruff products (SLS, SLES, Zinc Pyrithione and Selenium Sulfide). Instead, we combined naturally derived ingredients with a dual anti-fungal formula to cleanse, rebalance and soothe your scalp, without stripping your hair. The result? Less flakes, less itch and healthy hair.

For best results, part damp or dry hair into multiple sections. Apply the Scalp Repair Cream directly to the scalp, focusing on areas that are dry, flaky or irritated.

Leave on overnight to allow the ingredients time to work their magic. In the morning, gently dry brush the scalp to lift away flakes - a sign that fresh, healthy skin is coming through. The Scalp Repair Cream can be applied as part of your 'pre-wash' routine or as needed.

Struggling with a flaky beard?

Start with the Flake Free Shampoo - massage into the skin and beard, then rinse well. Shampoo twice if needed. This helps lift buildup and reduce flakes at the source without stripping the skin.

Follow with the Flake Free Conditioner - apply it through the beard lengths and lightly onto the skin underneath. Leave on for a few minutes before rinsing. This helps rehdyrate the skin, plus soften coarse beard hair so it’s less likely to irritate the skin and worsen flaking.

Finish your routine with our Scalp Repair Cream - this can be applied daily, overnight, as part of your 'pre-wash' routine or as needed. The Scalp Repair Cream is the targeted "treatment step". After showering or whenever the skin feels tight or flaky, apply a small amount directly to the skin under the beard. Work it in gently with your fingertips or brush through, so it reaches the skin, not just the hair.

What’s the best way to apply the Scalp Cream to the scalp?

How is Flake-Free different to your normal Milk Shampoo and Cream Conditioner?

Our Milk Shampoo and Cream Conditioner are designed to be a well-rounded, all-purpose formulas that works for all hair and scalp types, and we think they're pretty darn good at it!

But when it comes to tackling awkward flakes and that dreaded itch, we know some need a little more oomph. That’s why we went back to the lab and crafted our Flake Free range. The Flake Free Shampoo & Conditioner has Menthol for a cooling, soothing effect and combined it with scalp-loving ingredients to help ease irritation and restore balance.

The Flake-Free Conditioner is packed with Ceramides to support the scalp’s barrier, Glycerin for deep hydration and a touch of Menthol for a refreshing, soothing feel. They're the perfect duo for anyone dealing with a flaky scalp.

Are these products steroid-free?

Yes, like all MooGoo products, this trio is free from steroids. It’s a gentle, natural option for managing symptoms.

I feel a cooling sensation. What is that?

That refreshing, cooling sensation you feel? That’s Menthol doing its thing! We’ve added it to our Anti-Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner to help soothe itchiness and irritation while giving your scalp a little extra love.

Menthol works by calming the scalp’s nerve endings, which can reduce the urge to scratch - especially helpful for those dealing with Dandruff, Psoriasis or Dermatitis. It also promotes better circulation, which can support overall scalp health. Plus, it just feels nice, especially on a dry, irritated scalp!

Is the Anti-Dandruff Duo fragrance-free?

Yes! Our Flake-Free Anti-Dandruff range is fragrance-free, making it perfect for sensitive scalps or anyone looking for a gentle, no-fuss solution to Dandruff.

I have dry / oily hair. Do you have a shampoo for that?

Shampoos for oily hair typically have a higher concentration of cleansers than those for dry hair - simply because more grease needs to go! But here’s the thing: you can achieve the same result just by adjusting how much shampoo you use. Need a deeper clean? Use a little more. Just a light refresh? Use a little less. It’s all about what works for your hair, not just what’s on the packaging!

Are these products made of milk?

We aren’t called MooGoo because our products are made with milk. If you think about it, putting any meaningful amount of fresh milk into a hair care product and then putting it on a shelf in a store for a while would not end well – yuck! We do use ethically and sustainably sourced Milk Protein from a credible Australian supplier in our hair care products because research has found that it helps to protect hair fibres and revitalise hair's natural protective layer.

Are these products colour-safe?

Short answer: Yes!

Long answer: Our Hair & Scalp Care range is SLS-free, SLES-free and pH-balanced, meaning it's not alkaline (which is what can open up your hair cuticle and wash colour down the drain). We won't slap a "colour-lock" label on it, but the formulas are designed to help keep your hair colour from fading.

Hair colour "stripping" usually comes down to harsh cleansing agents, a high alkaline pH and water! Unfortunately, water is the biggest culprit of all. Simply washing your hair will inevitably fade colour over time, as it dissolves and washes away dye molecules from inside your hair strands.

Is this suitable for Keratin-treated hair?

Yes! All of our Hair & Scalp Care products are free from SLS, SLES and Sodium Chloride. This is important for Keratin-treated hair, as strong Sulphate surfactants can strip the hair more aggressively and shorten the life of smoothing treatments.

Since we don't use these ingredients, our formulas can help protect your results for longer.
